The one that got away

The little things in life!

There are too many people in this world who take things for granted and don't realize that they are on this earth for a reason! Life is far too short to to be grumpy and get mad over silly things. Now I am by no means saying that I can't be grumpy or get mad easily because I can, but I know that it won't ever last long because I have more important things to worry about! I was at work the other morning and a gentleman came is and asked to buy a pack of ciggarettes, I went and grabbed what he requested and then asked for his ID. HE said he did not have it with him so I said i'm sorry that I could not sell them to him. HE then started cursing at me about how he was 30 years old and it was ridiculous then stormed out like a three year old! There is no reason to be that rude to someone over something so simple. I can handle those things fairly well because I have been doing it for some time now but what if it was someone else who couldn't? I wish that people could see how much of an impact they really have on others, I really do! For me that guy was just another angry customer and I was the girl who ruined his day because he couldn't buy a pack of ciggarettes.
I'm sure this won't be the last time something like this happens but I will continue to keep a smile on my face knowing that someone that day needs it! :)

"In my best dress fearless"

Prom was such a big deal in high school I mean you get up in the morning and spend the whole day getting ready for one night in an exspensive dress with the perfect person! I remember it like it was yesterday I got up and went to my hair appointment which was at about ten, keep in mind prom didn't start until 6! After my hair was done I went home did my make up and got in my dress. By then it was only two o'clock so I passed the time by sittign on the couch watching TV and imagining what exactly prom was going to be like. Finally it came time to meet up with my boyfriend at the time and take some pictures, when I saw all of my family they proceeded to tell me how beautiful I looked. Being told that is a great feeling for anyone! After taking pictures my date and I jumped in the car and headed off to dinner with another couple. After dinner it was off to prom, and honestly it wasn't all that I expected it to be, or what its made out to be anyway!
 Point being that some things aren't as great as they seem and as upsetting as it is you have to accept that and move on with your life because the days keep coming without fail and you have to be ready for whats next!

Acts of kindness :)

Today was my last day asa cashier within the grocery store...I got up this morning and followed my normal routine. On my way to work I was thinking to myself "How can I thank my manager for all she has done for me?' I mean she has always been awesome and understanding when it comes to everything and I know it is her job but she makes it so much more than that. She goes out of the way to make sure that you are doing okay and really does care! So when I got to work I went to the card aisle and searched for a card that could say thank you for everything. After looking for a little while I finally found one with a smiley face on the front which was with no doubt perfect for her. I wrote a little note on the inside to let her know how much I truly appreciated everything shehad done for me!
I only hope that I can be as caring and understanding of a person that she is when I am in my assistant managing position. I want people to be able to trust me and know that I do care about them along with the store! Most people expect you to be kind to them even if they are not kind themselves, and the truth is you should be because you never know someone Else's situation! :)

About me and "finding out who your friends are"

I am just an average 20 year old trying to find my place in this world, meanwhile I am working to get through college. Last year I applied to work with FAmily FAre in EAton Rapids and recieved a cashiering position, I enjoy the people I work with and wouldn't trade it for anything. I also took on another job this past April at the DUck Lake Country Club where I would waitress several nights a week. A couple weeks ago though I became aware of an Assistant Managing position through Family Fare and decided that I would apply, I interviewed and after what seemed like forever I found out that I got the job!! As of July 15 I will be working Full time and attending night classes to finish my degree and I couldn't be more excited.

It is really easy to question what your purpose is or what exactly is in store for you. I am a very caring person who would do anything for anyone and I trust a person with pretty much all i have until they give me a reason not to. It wasn't until I was out of high school that I truly understood the meaning of "you find out who your friends are". I only talk to a select few people that I went to high school with and to be honest I am completely okay with that because through work I have found some pretty great friends that I can count on and trust 100%! Theres a quote that I remind myself of Frequently "God doesn't give you the people you want, he gives you th epeople you NEED to help you, to hurt you. to love you, and to make you into the person you were meant to be"
